Poggio di Maremma Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
Our Extra-Virgin Olive Oil comes from our own olive grove.
We grow several olive varieties, including Caninese, Frantoio and Leccino, and we nurture them all year round to ensure a good and healthy harvest.
We harvest them during the ripening period, between October and November, to produce an extra virgin olive oil high in quality and flavour.
Our olives are carefully hand-picked and then cold-pressed at the local oil mill.
Cold pressing is a mechanical extraction process done at low temperatures, between 22°C and 24°C.
We have chosen this method because it preserves the natural health benefits of our top-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, preventing the loss of nutrients and minerals, vitamins (A, D, E), antioxidants, while keeping the aroma and taste of freshly-harvested olives intact.
